Welcome #1: Welcome to Faunalytics (sent at signup)
You’ve just signed up for access to faunalytics.org, the world’s most comprehensive library of research on animal-related issues, attitudes, and behavior. Thank you!
At Faunalytics, we help you save more animals by providing the knowledge and insight that you need to be as effective as possible. For 15 years, formerly as the Humane Research Council, we have helped countless advocates figure out what works best to help animals.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing information to help you make the most of our tools and services. Our 4-part welcome series will walk you through the many features of faunalytics.org so you always have the latest and best research at your fingertips.

Welcome #2: Get Personal with Faunalytics (signup + 5 days)
At Faunalytics, we know your time is valuable. You need information to be accurate and succinct, and you need it to be relevant to your work for animals. We’ve built faunalytics.org with your needs in mind.
If you haven’t already, be sure to visit your profile to select your email alert preferences. You can choose to receive alert emails weekly or monthly and you can personalize the alerts by selecting from any number of the six animal-related topics to focus your results.
Are you ready for the most exciting part? In your profile you can also enter keywords to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Just enter a few words or phrases and if they appear in the title or summary of a new article in our library, you’ll get that article in your alerts.
Another way to make faunalytics.org your own is to take advantage of your personal library. You have the option at the bottom of any article on our website to “Save to Library.” You can then see your collection of saved articles in your profile and browse them later.

We know you’ll find something on faunalytics.org that will help you to help animals. And when you do, our tools make sure you can find more useful information, get it delivered to you on your own schedule, and have it available for you to access whenever you need it.

Welcome #3: Make the Most of Faunalytics (signup + 12 days)
We hope you’ve had a chance to check out faunalytics.org and our extensive library of issue, opinion, and behavior research about animals. (If not, we understand – life gets busy!)
To help you find what you need on the website, we put together a list of our most popular resources and tools (see below). We also built a powerful search engine [link] to make sure you can quickly locate relevant articles and refine your search results.
You have more options than meets the eye when searching our website. First, you can combine your search terms with words like AND, OR, and NOT as pre-filters (Boolean search). You can also group words in quotation marks to search for specific phrases.
When you search on our site, the results page provides even more choices. It is easy to refine your search terms and sort articles by title or date. You can also filter the search results by category, animal type, or geographic region.

Providing the world’s most comprehensive library of animal-related issues, attitude, and behavior data is only part of what Faunalytics does.
We also work one-on-one with animal advocacy groups to help them establish metrics for new programs, evaluate messages and materials, and gauge their impact. The Faunalytics team of experts provides cost-effective research support for animal advocates. See the services we provide
Do you work with a group of animal advocates that could benefit from knowing more about animal issues or measuring impact? Our training options can be tailored to give you the data and skills you need to do more for animals. And if you’re a student or scholar, our original datasets give you full access to our research to let you do your own analysis.
