The following report looks into the illegal trade of snow leopards in Asia, where they are being killed even though they are classified as "endangered."
This report is based on undercover investigations into the illegal trade of snow leopard skins in China between 2005-2012. In all, 100 whole leopard skins were found, since 2005 and 151 across Asia since 2000. It is estimated that what was uncovered represents only one-tenth of the actual illegal trade in skins.
