What Pet Adoption Groups Need Most In 2011
According to a survey sponsored by Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, the biggest concern among pet adoption groups in the year 2011 is for an adequate number of foster parents and volunteers for adoptable pets.
Based on responses from executive directors and board members of animal adoption groups across the country, the most significant challenges for these groups in 2011 include having an adequate supply of foster parents and volunteers for adoptable pets, combined with an increasing number of pets being relinquished to shelters. In addition, these survey findings identify growing anxiety over these issues, coupled with concern over budgetary issues.
