Survey Reveals Nine In 10 People Would Not Wear Real Fur
A survey of commissioned by the Royal Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) found that a majority of British citizens would not want to wear real fur and that half would not want to buy fur products if they are not clearly labeled as to whether they are real or fake fur.
The survey found that 95% of British citizens surveyed would not wear real fur. 93% want products to be clearly labeled as real or fake. Half of those surveyed said they would would not buy a product that was not clearly labeled.
The article notes other animal welfare strides taken in the UK. Specifically, in February of 2011 there was 5% increase in eggs laid by cage-free eggs compared with the previous year. In total 50% of eggs produced in the UK eggs were laid by cage free hens.
