Is It Right To Farm Animals For Their Fur?
This survey examines public opinion on fur and fur farming in German, France, Denmark and Finland. The percentage of fur owning households by country are: Germany (15%), Denmark (18%), Finland (21%), France (9%). By gender, 18% of females have fur in their households while 14% of males do so. In Germany, 69% of respondents agree that there should be a ban on the farming of animals for fur, while 30% disagree and 1% don’t know. In Denmark, 47% of respondents agree that there should be a ban on the farming of animals for fur, while 50% disagree and 3% don’t know. In Finland, 20% of respondents agree that there should be a ban on the farming of animals for fur, while 78% disagree and 3% don’t know. In France, 74% of respondents agree that there should be a ban on the farming of animals for fur, while 21% disagree and 2% don’t know.
In Germany, 22% of respondents have no problem with the farming of animals for fur, while 77% have a problem with this and 1% don’t know. In Denmark, 57% of respondents have no problem with the farming of animals for fur, while 41% have a problem with this and 1% don’t know. In Finland, 46% of respondents have no problem with the farming of animals for fur, while 50% have a problem with this and 4% don’t know. In France, 20% of respondents have no problem with the farming of animals for fur, while 79% have a problem with this and 1% don’t know.
