Public Opinion Of Animal Protection Goals, Activities, And Advocates (Phase 2)
This summary of phase 2 research describes results from focus groups and personal interviews conducted to investigate public awareness and opinions of animal protection (AP) activities, including the perceived image, credibility, and effectiveness of the AP movement in the United States.
Based on a series of focus groups and interviews, this research explores public opinion as it relates to the animal rights movement and goals. The findings specifically relate to tactics employed by AR rights groups, how to obtain more public attention, how the public feels about AR groups, the issues, and the depth of personal understanding of the issues.
This is a follow up study to phase 1, which explored the same objectives, but was a quantitative conducted via an online survey of 3000 US adults, Summit for the Animals Public Opinion Report, April 2005.
