This study attempted to answer a wide range of unanswered but important questions on animal issues.

Attempts to identify the “most timely yet unanswered questions in animal issues, “covering a wide range of issues, and providing an extensive list of human uses of animals.

The most popular research topic in animal issues has been the study of companion animal ownership.

Other frequently researched topics include: animal-related crime and deviant behavior, role of animals in contemporary culture, role of animals in sport, recreation, and leisure activities, involvement in our work systems, and involvement in national and international economies, public policy, law, and political movements.
