Brits Ready To Make Personal Sacrifices For Companion Animals
This study found that many British companion animal owners would be willing to make personal sacrifices for the health and fitness of their companion animals. Nearly half (46%) of British companion animal owners have insured their companion animals, while only 36% have health insurance for themselves.
According to these findings, if at any point their dog or cat needed medical help, almost half (47%) would cut down on their own discretionary spending related to eating out. Another 29% would not mind canceling summer vacation plans for the sake of their companion animal. Moreover, 21% would cancel their gym membership if necessary and another 7% would get their companion animals insured over themselves.
