An overwhelming majority of consumers want to visit a socially responsible restaurant more often.
This Technomic survey shows that nearly 80% of consumers claim that they would visit a socially responsible restaurant more often and/or pay more to eat at this type of venue.
In this survey, consumers ranked nutritional disclosure and nutritional accommodations highly on the list of 17 social issues. Consumers are expecting restaurants to be more socially responsive, and nutrition is a priority.
Of those polled, 49% also ranked “living wages” in their top three social concerns, followed by 33% ranking “responding to nutritional concerns”, 31% ranking “health insurance coverage” and 29% ranking “nutritional disclosure” in the top three.
