There has been an increase in fur owners in Canada, specifically in men and increasingly in the younger generations.
Profiles current owners and wearers of real fur garments according to recency of purchase and segmenting out female 18-35 demographic. Also includes a detailed analysis of the growth of interest in men’s furs in Canada.
This Canadian poll showed that men are becoming as interested in buying and wearing fur as women are.
19% of Canadian women now own a fur coat, with the most fur wearers in Quebec at 26%, and Montreal at 32%.
7% of Canadian men are wearing fur, up from 5% measured five years ago. An increase in interest in fur among women in the 18-35 year old was noted, and even 6% of those 18-34 years old are thinking about buying fur in the next year.
