This survey asked questions on the animal rights movement impact on national policy and if the public agreed with the animal rights movement’s goals.

Evaluates public perceptions of the animal rights movement, including agreement of disagreement with its goals and an assessment of the movement’s impact on public policy, primarily within the context of the environmental movement.

Survey question asks “There are many social movements that try to have an impact on policy making in our nation. For [the animal rights movement], please tell me how much of an impact you think it has had on our nation’s policies.”

  • A great deal (15%)
  • A moderate amount (35%)
  • A slight amount (35%)
  • None at all (13%)
  • No opinion at all (2%)

“Regardless of how much impact, if any, each movement has had, please tell me if you personally agree or disagree with it’s goals. [The Animal Rights Movement] Please tell me if you [agree] with its goals.”
