Release And Restitution For Chimpanzees In U.S. Laboratories (Update On Alamogordo Transfer)
This report from NEAVS provides details and statistics on the deaths of 62 chimpanzees from 2001 to 2010 at the Alamogordo Research Facility, identifying the names, genders, ages, and causes of death of each chimpanzee.
Through a Freedom of Information Act request, New England Anti-Vivisection (NEAVS) and Project R&R found cause-of-death data on 62 chimpanzees that died at the Alamogordo Primate Facility (APF) between 2001 and 2010. Causes of death ranged from sudden cardiac failure to multiple organ failure.
