93% of owners stated that they would cross party lines to preserve the right to own the dog of their choice.
The majority prefer to retain “ownership” of a dog, as opposed to the 10% that support the role of “guardian.” Dog owners are also opposed to ordinances that ban dogs by weight or size (98%), pet limit laws (78%), ordinances that ban or limit leashed dogs in public spaces (99.6%).
