Faunalytics’ Best Of 2019
Time passes so quickly that sometimes it’s hard for us to fully grasp what we’re able to accomplish over a long span of time like a whole year. As individual advocates, it’s important for us to occasionally pause and look back at how far we’ve come. Organizationally, looking back helps us to identify what resources had the best reach with advocates, and to know how we can orient ourselves to accomplish even more.
Below, we take a look back at our reader’s favorite, most impactful, and most popular resources from 2019. Click through the links to find out more, and join us in feeling some pride at what we’ve been able to do, because we couldn’t do it without you!

The Role Of Veterinarians In Farmed Animal Welfare And Advocacy
Our research library is our flagship offering to the animal advocacy movement. Each year, we add hundreds of new study summaries and dozens of blogs, all of which are available free to the animal advocacy movement. In 2019, our most popular library entries revolved around the importance of TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programs, social issues related to veganism and veg advocacy, wildlife trauma, and more. These were the resources you loved most, and it’s worth checking them out again!
Our Original Studies
The biggest highlight of every year for Faunalytics is our steady stream of original research, which often gets even more traffic than our other library items. In 2019, we tackled topics that would have a big impact for advocacy, looking at the way plant-based products are marketed, how corporate commitments to better animal welfare shape public opinion, the behavior and characteristics of people who donate to animal causes, and more. It was a banner year for our original research, and we’re set to double-down on our commitment to research that helps the whole movement in 2020.
New Visual Resources
Our mission is not just to bring you the data you need to be the best advocate you can be. Our mission is to make getting data easier and more efficiently. We know that you don’t always have time to read our full reports, and we also know that when you share our research, you want to do it in a way that your colleagues and audience are going to check out and absorb. In 2019 we continued to expand the visual presentation of our resources, releasing video summaries of two of our major studies, as well adding to our Fundamentals series with a companion animal edition. We got some great feedback on these resources from our readers, and we’ll be continuing to provide highly shareable content like this into 2020 and beyond!
Our Readers And Supporters
For us, one of the best things about 2019 was the amazing support we got from our readers and supporters, including our amazing crew of volunteers. Whether it’s donating funds, donating time, or simply engaging with and sharing our content, a big part of what made 2019 a stellar year for us was YOU!
Matching Donation Drive
We’re heading into 2020 with a strong plan of action, and we can use your help to make it happen. Thanks to a generous supporter, all donations to Faunalytics until the end of 2019 will be matched, up to $25,000. The good news is that we’re almost halfway there, and the great news is that means you can still double your impact with a donation today!
