Data Days of Summer: Celebrating Our Animal Protection Wins
If I think about how many events I’ve attended in hopes of elevating my advocacy, it is probably in the hundreds. I leap at every chance I get to attend conferences, summits, webinars and Q&A sessions. When I joined the Faunalytics team I was eager to utilize my background in event planning and create something new that would encapsulate all of the best experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t wait until the moment I would be able to see advocates, as I had, interact with each other and leave an event inspired and ready to take action.
Now, for those who work and volunteer in animal protection, the constant expectation from non-engaged members of the public for advocates to take action can be overwhelming. As soon as one cat is trapped and sterilized, one cruelty charge is laid, or one person is convinced to change their diet, there are already ten more just like them waiting for us. It can be a lot.
Joining the team at Faunalytics I’ve seen how advocates struggle with finding effective ways to improve animal protection. That’s why we created this event: we want to help our supporters stay energized and excited about the work we all do, and to celebrate our accomplishments and the reasons we work so hard: the animals who’ve been saved.
Faunalytics Data Days of Summer is an online benefit that brings together advocates
to celebrate our animal protection wins.
On June 23rd at 4 PM PST/ 7 PM EST, advocates from across the globe will meet, via Zoom. The Faunalytics team will take to our screens and share the impact you’ve helped us make, and continue to make. We’ll also be joined by some incredible guest speakers:
- Maria Salazar from Animal Charity Evaluators will catch us up on effective farm animal advocacy.
- Christopher “Soul” Eubanks will chat about his work with APEX Advocacy and the exciting news of continuing Encompass’ equity work.
- Karthik Sekar will share the impact supporting Faunalytics can make, and why he chooses to donate monthly to our cause.
And, in appreciation of your attendance, we’ll be holding research trivia giveaways throughout the event and you’ll be able to watch Ofra Isler complete a live illustration (which you can then bid on!).
A very special part of our evening is the farm animal meditation, filmed at The Sweet Sanctuary animal rescue. I’ve been a loyal supporter of my local rescue for years and I can’t wait to introduce you to “the lucky twelve” pigs that have 98 acres of peaceful land to call home.
