This publication from "Families Afield" details their methods of promoting hunting to the nation's youth.

A publication from Families Afield which promotes hunting and ways to indoctrinate the youth into sport hunting.

There are 20 states which impose an age restriction on hunting, which prevents youth from hunting with a parent, which is a concern for these organizations that the number of hunters will decline over time.

  • Current data reflects that 25% of youth from hunting households are actively involved.
  • Over the last 25 years, the number of hunters has declined by 23%.

This literature provides state by state hunter replacement data on youths, ages 6-15.
