Faunalytics is a small team and we rely on the help of volunteers to continue our life-saving work. If you have a couple of hours per week to devote to effective animal advocacy, we'd love to hear from you!

    Volunteer Roles

    Please note: Currently, we are only looking for volunteers in the following specific roles. Unfortunately, we are not able to consider working with other volunteers or interns at this time due to our small staff and limited capacity.

    Library Writers

    Are you passionate about science communication? The Faunalytics Research Library houses thousands of study summaries that are of interest to animal advocates working on a variety of issues. We always have a need for writers to help us stay up to speed on the newest research that matters to advocates by reading academic studies and writing summaries for the animal advocacy community.

    Required Skills:
    • Experience reading academic journals
    • Ability to translate scientific findings for a general audience
    • Strong understanding of research methods and analysis
    This role requires internet access and involves volunteering about 4 to 6 hours every 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Language competency is assessed using the CERF Scale.
  • Use your control/command key to select multiple interests.
