Companion Animals And Travelling With Their Guardians
According to these online survey results, nearly one-fourth (24%) of companion animal insurance holders take their companion animals with them while they travel. The survey also covers other options, including having friends or family watch companion animals, boarding, using companion animal-sitters, etc.
Of the 7,854 companion animal insurance holders and website visitors surveyed, 23.7% take their companion animals with them when they travel, while 36.4% have a friend or relative watch their companion animals, 20.3% board their companion animals in a kennel/hotel, 15.1% hire a companion animal-sitter, and 4.4% choose to leave their companion animals at home alone.
As more people are traveling with their companion animals, more hotel chains are offering companion animal-friendly amenities.
