Attitudes Towards No-Kill Animal Shelter In Maryville
Conducted as part of a class assignment, this survey garnered public opinion of the no-kill animal shelter located in Maryville, Missouri. The issues examined related to animal ownership, knowledge of local laws and licensing, animal control needs, and whether or not the respondent would support the shelter or not.
Researching students found that 26% of the pet owners surveyed do not have licenses for their dogs. An additional 24% live in a community where a license is not required, or they believe that it is not required.
More than half (57%) of those questioned also said they would be willing to support the Maryville animal shelter financially.
