My Profile

Maria Schilling is a postdoctoral research scientist and lecturer at the RWTH Aachen University, where she investigates proteins important for neuronal function. Her interest in advocating for the moral consideration of animals started during her studies in veterinary medicine, and while
volunteering at animal shelters. When she is not working in the lab, she enjoys painting, reading, playing sports, and cuddling her cat, Curie.
