Companion Animals Owners Willing To Take Salary Cut Or Skip Summer Vacations For A Fur-Free Home
In support of the Scotch Fur Fighter Pet Hair Sweeper, 3M sponsored this survey to examine the attitudes of companion animal owners toward companion animal hair and shedding; the majority of companion animal owners spend a significant amount of time removing companion animal hair.
According to this survey, more than half (52%) of companion animal owners say they would be willing to sacrifice their summer vacation or even a portion of their salary to never clean up companion animal fur again. In fact, 66% (139 million) of those who know people with companion animals say they would be more annoyed by stray fur than drool on the furniture or paw marks on the floor. Moreover, 34 million companion animal owners average 2+ hours a month picking up companion animal fur, while 64 million say it takes more than 30 minutes to do so. More than half (51%) of companion animal owners say that it is most difficult to pick up companion animal hair from under appliances or large pieces of furniture.
