Audrey Klein resides in the Pacific Northwest. She obtained a Master's in Environmental, Natural Resource, and Energy Law (emphasizing Animal Law) at Lewis and Clark Law School to strengthen her abilities in the animal welfare movement. Outside of animal activism, she spends her free time backpacking, baking, and exploring the world around with her friends.
When she was young, Meghann dreamed of helping animals by becoming a veterinarian, but as an undergraduate, she discovered animal welfare science and never looked back. After pursuing a Master’s degree in the field, she went on to work for the British Columbia SPCA. It was there that she discovered her passion for knowledge translation, communicating animal welfare science to kids as part of the organization’s humane education department. From there, Meghann joined the BC SPCA’s science and policy team, where she specialized in companion animal welfare. Appreciating that impacting animal lives often means impacting human lives too, she also holds a Bachelor’s degree in social work. Outside of work, Meghann enjoys reading, gardening, watching birds in her backyard, fostering tiny, ancient dogs, and designing animal pun t-shirts for herself.
