The average life expectancy of greyhounds. Meanwhile, the “careers” of racing greyhounds average 1-1.5 years, at which point many are euthanized.
2.3 years
The median amount of time that advocates stay with a particular advocacy organization. The most common reasons for leaving included problems with leadership (40%), finding a better opportunity (35%), not wanting to do a particular type of advocacy anymore (27%), and burnout (21%).
