This survey of companion animal guardians has found that more than half allow their animals to sit in the front of the car.
According to a Ford Motor Company survey, nearly 90% of dog owners bring their dogs along on car rides; additionally, more than half of these people say that their companion animals sit in the front seat rather than the back.
In this survey of 2,232 adults, 56% of guardians say that they allow their dogs to ride in the front seat of their car. Some even give their dogs access to the front seat over other humans. Moreover, 19% say they have allowed their dogs to ride on their lap while they are driving.
