Maria previously studied psychology at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, and continues to be deeply interested in how personality, identity, and moral cognition affect how people think about animals and dietary change. In her free time, she enjoys learning new wholefood plant-based recipes, playing chess, songwriting, and spending time in the Scottish countryside.
