Marita Calderón does intersectional research while studying for an MSc in Environmental Governance at Freiburg University. A fervent advocate for all animals, Calderón seeks to explore the intersections between feminism, decolonizing, animal rights, and climate justice. With a background in strategic communications for social change, campaigns, and facilitation for human and nature rights in the Abya Yala region, her mission is to blend creative storytelling and research.
Nicole holds an M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Irvine, where she researched alternatives to animal testing. She now leads a Data & Analytics team in the tech industry and supports data-driven animal advocacy. She enjoys reading, vegan cooking, and time in nature with her daughters, dog, and horse.
