Carol Kline is a Professor of Tourism at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. She has written on a variety of topics related to animal welfare and animal ethics within the tourism industry. She is currently pursuing a Master of Studies in Animal Law (MSL) at Lewis & Clark University and intends to apply her new knowledge for policy and legislative outcomes in the realm of animals in tourism. Taylor Bass holds a B.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences from Oregon State University and has developed a strong interest in ethical wildlife tourism. Since graduating, she has had the privilege of collaborating with nonprofits and researchers on projects examining the intersection of tourism, animal welfare, and conservation. As a new professional in the field, she hopes to continue promoting responsible and compassionate practices for appreciating all non-human animals.
Jiwon is the Technology and Data Architect at New Roots Institute. She has a B.A. and M.S. in computer science from Harvard University. In her free time, she enjoys eating bagels, listening to music, and running (sometimes all at once).
Jenna D’Ottavio is a legal operations manager in the mission-based technology sector, a law student, and reptile husbandry enthusiast. Rooted in a lifelong commitment to the welfare of all animals, she brings a unique perspective to the intersection of animal law, technology, and responsible care for all living systems. She lives in Arizona, USA with her myriad of animals.
