Douglas J. Anderson is a strong proponent of Albert Schweitzer’s ethical philosophy of Reverence for Life, first articulated by the Nobel Laureate in 1923, which advocates for the welfare of all life forms and the environment in which they live. Along with his wife, Ana María, he recently completed nearly three years of service as a Community Health Activist, teaching in the public schools of Cuenca, Ecuador. Douglas holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Anthropology and serves as Lead Instructor for Cultural Anthropology UNE Online. He is the Subject Matter Expert in Cultural Anthropology for the College of Graduate and Professional Studies UNE.
