Ambassador Project

Our Research Ambassadors will deliver data-driven resources to fellow advocates, students, and collaborators in animal protection.

Every effective campaign starts with solid evidence. Faunalytics’ Research Ambassadors bring that evidence straight to your group — in a free, customized presentation built around the questions you care about most. You supply the audience. We supply the data, the insights, and the strategies to help your work go further.

Why Book A Free Presentation

Faunalytics has spent years gathering and analyzing the research that helps animals — and our Ambassadors make it easy to put that research to work. Whether your group is brand new to advocacy or full of seasoned organizers, there’s something here for you.

Every presentation is:

  • Free, always. There’s no cost to your group, club, or organization.
  • Built for you. We tailor the content to your goals, your audience, and your focus area.
  • Ready to use. You’ll walk away with clear, evidence-based takeaways you can act on right away.

Choose Your Topic

We offer a growing lineup of presentations, each focused on one area of advocacy so your group can go deep instead of wide. New to Faunalytics? Start with The Importance Of Research.

Presentations are available in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Learn the latest insights about animal protection and how to apply them to your work. We empower animal advocates with access to research, analysis, strategies, and messages that maximize their effectiveness to reduce animal suffering. Our organization conducts essential research, maintains an online research library, and directly supports advocates and organizations in their work to save lives. The range of data we offer helps our movement understand how people think about and respond to advocacy, providing advocates with the best strategies to inspire change for animals. This presentation will go over the importance of using research in your work, what kinds of research is available, and how to use research and data to create an inclusive animal rights movement.

Social media is one of the cheapest, farthest-reaching tools in an advocate’s kit — but reach and impact aren’t the same thing. This presentation walks your group through Faunalytics’ research on what actually works online, from finding non-vegan audiences and tailoring your message to choosing images that resonate (spoiler: when in doubt, post a pig). You’ll leave with practical, evidence-based tactics for turning scrolls and clicks into real steps toward change for animals.

Protests can grab headlines and rally new activists — but the research shows they can also backfire, sometimes hardening the very attitudes advocates hope to change. This presentation unpacks Faunalytics’ findings on when demonstrations work and when they don’t, from the radical flank effect to the outsized risk of turning the public off. You’ll leave with clear, evidence-based guidance on setting the right goals, choosing tactics and locations, and measuring whether your actions are actually moving the needle.

Sometimes the easiest way to change what people eat isn’t to change their minds — it’s to change the menu. This presentation explores Faunalytics’ research on plant-based defaults and nudges, where making the veg option the standard choice has raised veg meal selection dramatically while staying popular with diners, staff, and institutions alike. You’ll leave with practical, evidence-based tactics — from menu design and labeling to staff training — that your group can bring to cafeterias, restaurants, and beyond.

Making a new vegan is hard — and keeping one may be even harder. Faunalytics research found that for every current vegan or vegetarian (veg*n), roughly five people have tried the diet and gone back, so this presentation walks your group through the full journey: how to reach the right audiences, meet people where they are, and support new vegn*s so the change actually sticks. You’ll leave with a practical, research-backed framework for turning good intentions into lasting dietary change.

Humane education aims to build empathy and reshape how people think about animals — but what does the evidence actually say about whether it works? This presentation walks your group through Faunalytics’ research on how humane education influences diet, attitudes, knowledge, and long-term advocacy, including where the effects are strongest and where the data still has gaps. You’ll leave with practical, evidence-based tips for designing programs that meet learners where they are and spark lasting change.

The Impact So Far

Since the Research Ambassador Program launched in 2022, our ambassadors have delivered 109 free, customized presentations to 108 organizations in 26 countries — in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Cantonese. More than 820 advocates, nonprofit staff members, students, and researchers have taken part, learning firsthand how to put Faunalytics’ research to work in their own campaigns and organizations.

Those presentations don’t just reach a lot of people — they consistently land well. In every year since the program began, at least 87% of attendees have said they were satisfied with their workshop, and at least 93% said they learned something relevant to their organization’s work, with that figure climbing to nearly 98% in recent years.

The impact doesn’t stop at the workshop door. Afterward, 89% of attendees say Faunalytics’ research and resources are extremely or very valuable to improving animal advocacy, 96% say they now understand what Faunalytics does, and 92% agree — including 73% who agree strongly — that our research will help guide how they make advocacy decisions.

Meet our Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors are advocates, researchers, and professionals from around the world, united by one goal: getting great research into the hands of the people fighting for animals.
